Condor’s ongoing outreach in the chemical risk management and industrial compliance arena included the addition of our Roseville Office in April 2012. In addition, we have now become a technical advisory committee member for the Central Valley Chemical Safety Day (CVCSD) Events. The CVCSD’s mission is “To provide educational opportunities for the awareness and safe use of hazardous chemicals”. We knew that joining this team would not only benefit us in achieving our core values of “. . . safety to underscore all that we do”, but could also encourage others to take action to prevent chemical emergencies.
As a part of Condor’s financial commitment to the CVCSD, we will be a sponsor of their Ammonia Refrigeration Training System (ARTS) trailer. The trailer is a hands-on training tool used annually at two safety day events and three training venues. The sponsorship will provide ongoing funding to make repairs to the trailer as needed, and will assist in creating a scholarship fund to train individuals committed to becoming ammonia technicians. The ARTS trailer is used to do live demonstrations at the CVCSD events so the attendees can learn what do in the event of a chemical release; without this trailer the hands-on experience would not be available.
We look forward to many successful years of working with the CVCSD.
