Condor and the Stanislaus County Department of Environmental Resources would like to thank APCCO, Ratto Bros., Donlee Pump Co., Hilmar Cheese, and Sconza Candy for their generous donations to this workshop. We would also like to thank all of you who were able to attend and for your valuable feedback. Attendee feedback on the Stanislaus CUPA Programs Workshop 2013 presented on March 21st indicates that it was a rousing success. We know your time is valuable and we hope you were able to take something back to your organization that will improve your safety and process efficiency.
The 7-hour workshop consisted of 10 speakers, including 3 keynotes and provided training and updates on CUPA oversight programs. CUPA programs included were CalARP/RMP/PSM, aboveground and underground petroleum storage (APSA/SPCC & USTs), hazardous materials (HMMP/CERS), and hazardous waste. An update on the pending Industrial General Permit for Storm Water Discharges was also provided.
Last week we sent out a survey to those who attended and, based on those results, we hope to do this event again. In part, the results from the survey stated “Everyone did a wonderful job at explaining what the laws and rules are to keep us compliant” and “If anyone goes away from these meetings and doesn’t take the information that they need to stay compliant, they have failed. It is great that these free informational seminars are offered and Stanislaus County wants to help local businesses stay compliant. THANK YOU”.
