Condor has been providing geotechnical engineering, construction inspection, and materials testing services for almost three decades, providing our clients with well-rounded, comprehensive support. Condor’s proven project management, quality assurance inspection and testing, and seasoned organization and communication skills make sure that projects will move ahead as smoothly as possible.
Condor provides construction inspection and materials testing services for a wide range of projects throughout California. These projects include schools, hospitals, wineries, caves and tunnels, multi-story structures, industrial plants, water and wastewater distribution and treatment facilities, office buildings, residential developments, and all types of public infrastructure. Projects range from modernizations to new facilities, with construction costs from 1 million to 50 million dollars plus. No matter the size of the project, Condor maintains an excellent reputation for working closely with the design professionals, permitting agencies, and all other project team members to verify that construction and materials conform to design plans and specifications.
In order to provide complete construction materials testing and special inspection (MTSI) capabilities, Condor’s MTSI services are managed by professional engineers and are supported by ICBO, ACI, AWS, ASNT, and NICET Certified inspectors. Many of our inspectors have multiple certifications that allow us to deliver cost-effective, quality service, and rapid response to our many clients. In addition, Condor provides in-house training programs and promotes continuing education to stay current with new techniques and developments in the field of construction inspection and materials testing. An umbrella of safety and QA/QC management staff ensures that Condor’s construction monitoring and testing capabilities are at the top of the field.
Condor’s testing laboratories are certified through the National Bureau of Standards and are recognized and approved by the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), the California Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD), and the Division of the State Architect (DSA). Condor’s procedures, equipment, and personnel qualifications conform to the requirements outlined in ASTM E-329. The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) licenses the storage and use of Condor’s nuclear density testing (NDT) gauges, and certifies our NDT technicians. All field and laboratory testing equipment is calibrated on an annual or more frequent basis by an outside agency as part of our internal quality assurance.
The most significant facet of Condor’s success is the quality of our people. It is their knowledge, experience, and training that ensures the quality of our testing and inspections. Condor is dedicated to serving our clients’ needs, on budget and on schedule. The Condor team is driven to deliver better service and higher value solutions through innovative applications of both new and traditional approaches. As part of our overall quality assurance and quality control programs, all field and laboratory reports are peer reviewed prior to finalization.
Through Condor, owners, developers, and builders have the benefit of expertise, laboratory resources, and commitment to complete projects on-time, within budget, and to a quality exceeding our clients’ expectations. Our clients hire (and rehire) Condor to minimize construction issues and protect their interests during the construction process.
