Condor works with several public agencies on groundwater evaluation and assessment needs. Condor recently installed and developed a number of triple-completion monitoring wells for a Groundwater Sustainability Agency (GSA), which has the general responsibility under the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA) to maintain the sustainability of groundwater within their defined Groundwater Basin. Condor obtained drilling permits and coordinated the drilling schedule with multiple permitting agencies. A Condor geologist characterized the lithology during drilling of a pilot boring at each location and directed the installation of monitoring well screens within three water-bearing sand zones lying above the Corcoran Clay. Data collected from these wells will be used to help quantify groundwater recharge in water-bearing sands, assist in groundwater modeling as well as evaluate other potential groundwater recharge opportunities within the Basin.
